Rep Power: 0 | | In Regards to Estate Matters Just a quick question, I was the executrix of my grand mother's estate. It has been 8 years now and I thought the estate was closed. The lawyer that represented me has since retired and his files were passed on to another lawyer.
I just recently got a letter from the Surrogate Court in Niagara County of NYS and have been advised to come to court because the estate hasn't been closed.
I retrieved his file and came to find out that there was a claim against the estate from a creditor of hers in a fairly large amount that I was not ever aware of.
The money has been paid out and there is nothing left in her estate. What is going to happen to me? | | Domain Names Sponsor | | |
