Rep Power: 0 | | Do I need a lawyer? I got my 2nd speeding ticket a while back for 24mph over. I went to my arraignment and found out that because I'm under 21 and got a ticket for 24+, I can't please no lo, and a guilty plea results in an automatic license suspension. Also there is no permit available if I lose my license and I need it to get to school and work.
I have several friends who have gotten speeding tickets reduced in court so they didn't have to lose their license and they got less points on their license, but the judge didn't give me that option. His only suggestion was that I plea not guilty and hope that on my court date the officer compromises and lets me take a driving class to lessen the charge.
I was wondering, is it worthwhile to just get a lawyer so I don't lose my license or get my insurance raised significantly? | | Domain Names Sponsor | | |
