My car was hit, while unattended, by a driver that fled the scene. There was a witness that did get their license plate number. The police were able to track it down and there is an address for the other driver/owner on the report. My question is this: is it legal for me to go to that address and take pictures of the damage on the other car?
The reason I want to do this is in case this goes to court, I'd like to have evidence that the other driver's car does have damage that matches the damage on my car. I live in New Jersey and this happened in New Jersey. |
