Default I got my ticket in the mail after my due date

I have a question to you guys. I got a speeding ticket in May but did not get anything in the mail until July 8. On the original ticket it said that I have to pay the ticket my 7/6/2005. When I called the court they had no record of my ticket so I could not pay it.

Therefore, is this a procedural error because the ticket did not apear in the system in the timely manner and can this be dismissed?

Thank you in advance

No, an administrative delay on the part of the authorities does not absolve you.
