Default Landlord responsibilities

After a legal eviction my landlord claims to have "thrown away" the items that were too big for me to remove immediately; specificaly a leather couch and loveseat, complete bedroom and dinette sets

1) What are his obligations?

2) What are my options?

( I live in Nevada)

Default eviction

You said after a legal eviction. Does this mean you went to court, they said leave and they gave you so long to do so, correct? If this happened then the landlord has every right to take anything left behind after you have been evicted and told to leave by the court. I am a landlord and after I evict someone and take them to court, the court gives them 8 days to gather their things and move, after that 8 days anything left behind technically belongs to my complex and I can do with it what I feel fit, sell, keep or throw away. Some counties make you sit everthing out on the corner and whoever takes it gets it. Hope this helped.

Im sorry but I feel this is so rude to do to someone... apparently, if they arent paying their rent on time they cant afford it.. times r hard nowadays for most of us... the majority of people now cant buy a home their only option is renting.. and paying rent usually costs more than a mortgage to own a home.. so obviously their having some financial problems... and ur gonna throw away their things... wow .. so totally heartless.. leave them with nothing.. I understand if landlords are kicking drug addicts out who damage their property and things like that... but ive seen too many people get kicked out simply because they were a couple weeks late on rent.. so what... people pay their bills a couple weeks late all the time.. sorry i just wanted to rant.. because i find this incredibly rude... the world sucks... everythings so damn expensive and its pathetic to sit and think about how rich landlords makin a big deal over a few weeks late rent when they own 5 - 10 properties themselves.. and the people that rent from them cant even afford one..
