Rep Power: 0 | | signed plea, is it to late?times running out I signed a plea already.I think my lawyer did not work in my best intrest .I am preparing for sentencing and researching facts online .My lawyer never told me about a mitigation hearing he only said "get some letters from friends saying something nice about you". Could this be considered "ineffective representation" ?if so, is ineffective representation a "mitigating factor"?I think he did nothing for me. He jumped at the first offer the prosecution made.He spent no time investigating the arrest,Did not do any interviews,I wanted a suppression hearing but I never got one.Instead I got a settlement conference .At the settlement conference he informed me that" I was going to prison and signing the plea that day and he would try to get me 30 days to settle my affairs".He added that " if you dont sign the plea your trial will be tomorrow and were not prepared and we'll lose". He took my case pro bono because of the many referrals I sent him but , I can go to prison for free on my own.My plea was fair and if I am correct does my plea get
pulled ? Should I just say nothing?Help me please.
Thanks for any advice
