Default statue of limitations for welfare fraud

13 years ago i collected 4 months of welfare afdc/food stamps after 10 years of raising them, 2 of these years were on welfare because my daughter was needing medical attention. The only way to get this aide was for me to quit my job and go on welfare. Then their father comes back into there lifes and takes me to court and the judge awarded custody to him, because to get one less deadbeat father. Anywho's my life was just in total devastation, no where to turn. I was all tore up. I collected 4 months of welfare. This was my only way of surviving at the time. Anyway's they arrested me 9 years later, now it is 13 years later and the matter is still open in the courts. What is the statue of limitations if any?

If I had to take a guess, and that is exactly what I am doing, I'd say probably ten years.....

Also keep in mind though, whatever the statue is, if there is indeed one, that it would go to the arrest date.... In this case, if it were 10 years, than as long as they made the arrest within that timeframe, which they did, the charges would be valid...
