Rep Power: 0 | | Please Help Me I received a subpoena from the District Attorney for me to be their witness against my own mother. Am I required to reply to their demands? What should I do ? They arrested my mother 5 months ago she remain behind bars as we cannot afford the amount they asked for the bond. They were in a hurry to have the grand jury as it was only few days left before the statute of limitations runs out on their side,as it was nearly 6 years since they have their investigation. My mom is charge for aiding and filing false tax returns and not paying taxes, I told the agent that I have no knowledge when it comes to the tax part of the business because I wasn't the tax practitioner , I was working as the mortgage loan processor for the real estate part of the business. Now it seems that they are so desperate to even using me as their witness against my own mother. What upset me is if my mom truly dangerous to the public why in the world they didn't even shut down the business for almost 6 years since 2002 when they came in and raid the business. They destroyed the business reputation. Now they are demanding for me to be their witness against my mother after I have told them more than once I do not handle the tax part of the business. I do not understand what they wanted from me, I do not want to hurt my old mom seeing them trying to use her own daughter against her. Please I do truly need someone to give me some advice what to do for them not to be using me on their behalf , just to think or see myself being called their witness, I have nothing to hide but I do not want this emotional roller coaster to hit my mom hard in the heart. Please help.. I am very thankful from the bottom of my heart for anyone who cares to share some legal advice regarding this serious matters. I thank you in advance.. Thanks..God Bless..
Sincerely Your's,
A daughter who loves her mom so much , wishes that I could take her place instead of her in jail. She is too old to face the harsh accusations after over 35 years doing what she loves to do. | | Domain Names Sponsor | | |
