I have what is probably a fairly easy question to answer: my daughter is 14, and my ex wife and I have joint custody and 50/50 placement. I recently grounded my daughter while at my house, and when she went to her moms, she refused to come to my house at the scheduled exchange time. So here's my question: Does there come a time when a child gets to make the decision about where they want to live, or does the court simply consider their feelings, but still do what's best? Does anyone have any solid advice about this? I would appreciate...

No solid evidence on my part, but I do believe there is a point where a childs opinion will be taken into consideration... I have always thought it would be in the 13 and above range, but again - just throughing out an opinion.... Hopefully someone else has an actual case they can refer to with some solid evidence of how a ruling has gone on the issue.
