Angry Grandparents interfering with our family

State : Kentucky/Ohio

My wife and I had children and married very young. My son, our first child was primarily raised by my parents. Long story short, years later we tried taking our son more and winging him off of my parents care. This upset them and they took us to court. Through mediation they obtained shared parenting and tremendously limited the amount of time we see our son. They also were granted child support to be pay by my wife and I.

We have 2 other children who live with us and short of being picked up from school or babysat a day here or there have never been under my parents care. Needless to say shortly after having them take us to court over our son my wife no longer wanted the other kids down my parents house a much.

Every time now that my parents have discovered the kids are being watched, picked up from school or take to school by someone else I get a nasty e-mails from them saying how we are no longer letting them see the kids.

I have sent them e-mails back stating time and time again that I don't mind them see the kids but that they just need to be normal grandparents and do normal grandparent things with them. I have told them to simply call me and they can hangout with their grandkids whenever they want. This is not enough for them. They have to control everything and if every aspects of my children's life doesn't go through them somehow they throw a fit. They have not asked to simply hangout with the kids since and appear to keep "holding out" for me to say that they can keep the kids more than that.

Finally last night they threaten me saying they are filling for grandparent rights. Now not only do they have no grounds what so ever to obtain the rights but I've told them over and over to their there grandkids yet because its not every day they don't want to see them? Or because we have someone else taking them to school now they don't want to see them? Grandparent rights wouldn't give them any of that either. Hell I'm offering them more time with the kids than visitation rights would.

So my question is, are there any pre emptive measures I should take right now or simply let them file for grandparent rights so that they can be denied.
