Hello,
I am a 19 year old female who resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
On August 27th I was arrested for Domestic Abuse against my boyfriend. I hit him two times and a neighbor saw and called the cops. My boyfriend did not file a report, or press charges against me, however, I was arressted anyhow and booked in jail. My hold time was waived (meaning I go out of Jail in maybe, 4 hours), I made pretrial and was gone in less than 4 hours.

My court date is set for October 10th. My boyfriend was not told that he had to show up in court, and he chooses NOT to show up in court. I have to show up, and I am planning on showing up.

I guess my question is, what should I expect when I go to court? With no victim present.
Is it possible that I will get jailtime? Should I go ahead and hire a public defense attourney?
