The prosecution will present its case against O.J. Simpson at a preliminary hearing on Thursday. The judge will decide whether there is sufficient evidence to take the case to trial in 2008.
A robbery with the use of a deadly weapon conviction could put Simpson in prison for 15 years, while a kidnapping conviction could put him away for life.
Simpson claimed all he wanted was to recover items that had been stolen from him by a former agent.
Three of his co-defendants have pleaded guilty to lesser charges and are expected to testify against Simpson.
They will allege Simpson instructed them to bring firearms.
