Default disorderly persons offense effect on future employment

basically i was charged with posession of a level 2 narcotic (very small amount) this was later downgraded before court to whatever the charge is where the cops basically said that it was my responsibility to tell them the narcotics were in the car but that i was not the one they belonged to or the person who purchased them (that was the passenger)

anyway my lawyer made a deal with the prosecutor and got me a disorderly persons offense for the whole thing .. what will show up on my record as a result of this?

question is i'm almost finished with college and will soon start looking for jobs and i know some places conduct background checks, so question is would this disqualify me from employment in most places?
also i know you can get a record expunged i believe after 5 years (correct me if i'm wrong) but i also read somewhere that in new jersey you cannot expunge a disorderly person only a felony is that true and if you can get it expunged how exactly does that work? will it still say i had a record at one time and if so what will it say and could that still keep me from getting a good job?
