Rep Power: 0 | | Need lega Advice on Internet website issue Hi All,
Im new to this forum
Need some legal advice on something
Im running this webhosting Company, I had one Website on their which was a bad apple site..which i shut down immediately as it had dodgy stuff on it and all
Now WHat happened few days later somoene had Pasted That Website which i had shutdown on a public Website and had posted every single website hosted on my server they did a Reverse IP lookup,
most those sites were geninue and business websites.
Now cos Of our Exposure by this particular Organisation that posted my company along with every single site on my server, anyone who does a google will automatically see that its under a bad name if you know what i mean, so im sure it will put people off.
So im wondering whether im allowed to take legal action on the grounds of this, I written to the website of that they wont bother responding or anything and i dont expect any response from them either cos i knwo they wont reply back we've already been tarnised
Considenring im UK based and the Website where my hosting company appeared in in America, do i have any case?
Thanks |

I think that you have a good case, but it is not worth the time and cost involved to seek legal redress.
Start over with a dedicated server co-located at a secure center, or search for a reputable host who will protect your interests and prevent recurrence of your bad experience. Good Luck! |

Rep Power: 4 | | Direction 1. I would drop the idea of legal action altogether. I can direct you to free legal aid sites, but it will still cost you far too much as you are based outside the US. It is also a matter of time, apart from money.
2. Why not re-start your business through www.searchen.com? They can cover your interests and make sure that no one steals your sites again. You can get a quote for them for minimal scope and upgrade as you go along.

thanks anyway | I am glad that you are re-established, but I firmly believe that you should take steps to have someone in the US ensure that your hard work and good name do not go down the drain again. Get a quote from www.searchen.com
It can do you no harm!
Good Luck! |

I'd like to have a real good idea of what is happening so I can best answer any questions you may have..... | We need more professionals with your speed of response, without demanding payment upfront!
Can I take up your offer for another issue? Some of my associates used to write for www.hotnacho.com and the flow of work has stopped abruptly since early April. None of us can understand the explanation on the site and neither they nor Wordpress are willing to respond to our queries.
Sorry to deviate a bit from mpdac's original request! |

If you had only a verbal agreement to do work on assignment, then I doubt you would have any recorse to talk about.
In my opinion, in good ethics, they atleast owe you a decent explanation to what went wrong, or atleast comment that the assignments are finished and they nolonger have work to assign you. |
