Rep Power: 0 | | Sue someone but cant find them???? I loaned a guy money and he split town (or at least just moved out of my apartment and somewhere nearby). I have all the paperwork signed and notarized like any legitimate loan...but if I want to take him to court...can they find him??? or do I need to find him??? How can I sue someone if I don't know where they are living??? He would definately be living with someone else...sleeping on a couch..etc. |

Since this is a civil matter, I'm pretty sure you'll need locate the person first in order to initiate proceedings against them and to allow them to be served with appearance notification or a certified demand letter (letter of intent).
