You would have to give an example on that one?

How so?

Exclamation Citizen duty

We must help the injured. It could save a life. Airways, breathing and circulation must be checked and the person kept warm, calm and immobile until help arrives. Yes it can lead to litigation, but that is a risk we have to take.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I mean, why you'll be sued if you help a injured one?

Unfortunately, you cannot rule that out.
A person of the other or even the same sex can claim later to have been groped or molested.
You can be accused of causing permanent harm if you damage the Spinal Cord through movement.
There are 2 things you should do:
1. Be trained in how to render first aid and to conduct triage.
2. Always note down the names and contacts of as many bystanders as you can.
3. Call for an ambulance and the police as soon as you can and have this transaction recorded. A cell phone is best for this. Store numbers that you can access in a flash.
4. Try and find a volunteer who takes care of things while you attend to victims.
5. Announce repeatedly that doctors should come forward to help.
This approach needs rehearsal and regular practice.

Ask Doctors, Police people and emergency workers-your kind of approach, noble as it is, has got many good souls in to trouble.
Criminals may even feign illness or a loss of consciousness in order to trap you.
I do agree that we should not think twice about saving a life, but it is better to be trained and follow routine procedures, than react from the seat of our pants.
