Hello-

Last night my GF came home and caught me doing something I shouldn't have been doing.

She starts screaming and hitting me.

I get out of the house, get into my car and try to drive away.

She comes up to the car window and is clawing me and won't let go of me with her arms inside my window.

I start to slowly pull away - she keeps walking down the road, and scrapes my face bad so I take off to get away from her.

She falls in street and a neighbor calls police.

She got brusied up, a cracked hip and she says an injured tendon in her arm.

I feel terrible that this happened as it did, but I was trying to LEAVE peacfully.

I never laid a hand on her, nor would I ever - EVER.

However when she scraped my face - it hurt - and I took off.

This happend LATE at night - pitch dark and I didn't think she was hurt when I left.

Now the police are contacting me for my side of the story.

She wants to press charges.

I've gone ahead and taken pictures of my face.

Does she have a case?

What is the worst and best outcome I can expect?

What would you recommend I do?

Also, I have no criminal record - other than a 6 month conditional release as a minor when I was 15.

I'm 25 now and have never been arrested - certainly not for anything violent.

A few traffic tickets - but who doesn't?

One more thing, what would you're best guess be as to what a plea deal might look like?

Should I fight this no matter what?

Please help me.
