Rep Power: 0 | | Statue of Limitations in Canada? Ok I turned 19 a several days ago and there is this guy who ticked me off for many years and I saw him in a public place (hot tub) and he pissed me off so we got into verbal argument and his friend and he really said something that got me going and I hit his head and slapped him. I felt bad so before I left I did apologize several times and I have NEVER been in this situation before. I'm trying to become a medical doctor and I really don't think having a criminal background will help. I doubt he will sue me but if he does for battery or assault or whatever, are there statue of limitations in Canada, BC? He was not hurt, meaning he wasn't bleeding or needed any kind of medical caring. I feel really horrible for doing this. I'd really like to have an accurate answer for this. Thank You. |

Rep Power: 3 | | Generally speaking, Canada has a ten year statute of limitations for summary offenses, and no statute of limitations for indictable offenses. | | Domain Names Sponsor | | |
