Rep Power: 0 | | Throw out a felony charge! I was a drug adicted back in 2000. well i did a stubid thing and stole my moms credit card. well to recover my dept they had to charge me. i was locked up about 3 days. then they took me into district court. i was charged with illegal use of a legal ducoument. my lawyer and the prosecutor made a deal. that if my mother said she did not want me charged with a felony. I could plead right there. and it would only be a mistermeaner. well the prosecuter walked off to talk to my mother. and came back and said we are all set. so we get in front of the judge and the prosecutor said the victims. would not except me getting only a misdermeaner. well they held me over for circuit court. I really had no defense so i plead. but it turned out the prosecuter was wrong they ask him to not take it to another court. after the first apperance my mother stayed and told the judge of the mistake. and he just said it is to late now. so i looked into expungment but in michigan you have to have a spotless record to exsponge. so is there anything i can do. I'm no longer a drugy i have not been for a long period. and this my only felony is killing me. can i get it overterned or anything. some input would be great. |

Expungements http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expungement http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felony pardon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pardon
I read something somewhere recently which explained in some rare cases, a mayor of a state can give some kind of pardon which can clean a record of the offence, but I can not find it now. What I do remember from the article though, it was for NY
