Rep Power: 0 | | 403b Retirement Plan I have a 403b retirement plan that I started in 1994, (approx). At the time my employer matched part of the funds. I stopped working for that company in 1998. I have not contributed to that account since approx. 1995. I had major back surgery last March and have been on SSDI since then. I have approx. $9000 in the account. I am finding out that there is a policy that in order to receive any type of housing and/or food assistance, a person cannot have more than $2000 in assets. I have called the company with whom I have the 403b and they say the only way to get any money out earlier would as $44 a month for how ever long it takes to disburse the money. That could take years! In the mean time I still cannot receive assistance. I can't get assistance for legal issues because of that $9,000. I only get $862 a month in SSDI. After paying half the rent I have $62 left. Is there anything I can do? | | Domain Names Sponsor | | |
