A company has to be incorporated in its home State. There are attorneys with sites who can help you with the formalities.
2. An organization would differ in that it may operate on a not-for-profit basis. Incorporation would make sense even in such a structure as it would spell out individual liabilities and working relationships with each other.
Maintaining an incorporated company or organization would cost money as there would be regular reporting and attorney's services involved.
Do not get into it until you have validated the plans that you have made between yourselves.
Do not keep the arrangement between yourselves verbal. Put it in writing. I can help you with this if you like.
I recommend that you start with only one of you taking financial and non-financial responsibility for the site. The other can provide contracted services through a specific written contract. |
