My daughter has a business (an LLC) that took American Express. For the last several months, AMEX has mistakenly deposited several thousand dollars in her business account. My daughter did not catch the incorrect deposits. AMEX sent her a letter, but attempted to withdraw the funds before she received the letter. The money has been spent.
