[font=Arial]...that a large Canadian bank can get away with what they are doing. They've done this to us before with our other house, and I fought them all the way, but they threw us out on the street, with only nine days notice, police escort and all. What did I do to deserve all this special treatment? We wanted to get ahead in life, be in business and all that entrepenurial stuff. We decided to start some real estate investments, bought a not too expensive lot with 3 rental houses on it. I should have followed my gut feeling when the bank loans rep wouldn't co-operate with what we wanted and pushed us into a "deal". She made us start several accounts there. It ended up we closed them in a couple months, or so we thought... charges kept acrueing, and they kept on screwing up our accounts, taking money, shifting money. I really felt scammed. In the next few months another female, the accounts manager was charged with stealing from a little old ladies bank account. B#$%&! My bells and red flags whistled and flew! Then about a year later I found out some money, thousands of $$ had not been forwarded to the place it was suppossed to go. It was the loans officer's insistance we should pay this certain place to remove a lien on the residential home we owned. The $ never got there. The big bank would not investigate and they ruined my credit rating with their lies! They locked us out of our rental property and refused to take our payments, which we had been making at the one lone bank of that name in our small city. This is only the beginning of their cruel saga. Our rental units were damaged because it was late fall, water pipes froze, burst, the houses are now soaked and molding, 6 years later. Then they had the gall to charge us for them "taking care" to "secure" the place! We eventually got Ombudsman and lawyers and sorted it all out, with too much expense. Then they did it again with our residence! They refused our payments, went to Court in another city, 1200 miles away from us, didn't tell us, until almost a year later, and lied that we had defaulted! and all while we were in an investigation through the Ombudsman, which I was told, was suppossed to halt everything!!! NUTS! Over a year later, we were forced out of our house by police, we had nowhere to go except the small units. 4 rooms in total with two bathrooms, very small bathrooms. I set up our kitchen & livingroom in one house, and we had to walk between two houses on either end to get to our beds. One night it was raining very hard, lighting flashed hard around me, I slipped and cracked my knees and whacked my forehead. I may need knee surgery. I decided I couldn't live there through one of our hard winters. There were no jobs here, very little, very expensive housing, so I went to see my eldest daughter in another city. I found a house, we shared and things were working out. my husband soon followed, quit his good paying job with benefits, only after he found a better paying job. But that employer was a shyster! But he's multi-skilled hardworking, loyal and has never had a problem getting or holding jobs. So fast forward to now, 4 years later...They did it again! We fell a little behind, around December last year, but we always paid at least half a payment. On January 19, or so we got a letter pay up or lose out. We paid up in one week, and even pulled together the next months payment, more than they asked for! Fine, I figured. We continued to pay for the next few months. No letters, no questions at the bank. Then we go to our rental units-locked out! WHAT THE HELL?!!! So Away I go trying to find out what gives. They must be all politicians! LOL so I set my detective dial on suspicious TALK ABOUT RUN AROUND!!! I'M exhausted. But we keep paying. the Ombudsman offers us some bull**** deal which we ignored. They want 2000 in "care and maintenance" fees, let us off the hook for another 3500 in (il)legal fees they trumped up, and wanted a bunch of obscure secrets kept. I'm beginning to wonder if that was extortion. I read on a legal website: if you say to someone "I'll make this all go away if you just do this" and what they were doing IS NOT LEGAL! I just found out. Web is a wonderful place, knowledge IS POWER! So I now know what rights I have and legal obligations the bank has. They haven't followed one! Then I get a phone call, our units were ROBBED! Guess WHO!!!??? The bank and their agents! The past week has been a confrontational round of my questions, yelling, and their lying! STALLING! I suspect to get more Court documents. I am under an assumed rumor, which everyone in my whole small city, hometown, knows all the lies that the bank and their agents are spreading. So I started screaming! Just to set the record straight for the neighborhood. The cop was going to arrest me. What ever happened to freedom of speech? I needed to be heard. I was always told, scream bloody blue murder when you're being raped or killed. It was scream or explode! We were wiped out, 10's of 1000's, in new windows, renovation items, antique furniture, personal items, personal papers, including income tax and business records. So much more, irreplaceable stuff! At least the A@#%&*$ was decent, or maybe chicken enough to return my dead Dad's ashes when I screamed about charges of improper disposal of human remains. I'm serious! They had no excuse to steal our stuff, which they say they garbage dumped, but we had stuff, brandnew! two 36x80" mirrored closet doors, large mirrors, doors, windows, light fixtures, a jet tub still in the plastic, two children's closet doors you can write on and wipe off...It sickens me. I'm sure there has to be some sort of charges available. The police are NO help. No one will tell us the name of the person to talk to so we can find out where all our stuff is... I can't imagine anyone actually throwing out all that and an all glass curio cabinet, 6 foot tall, or stereo cabinet, or beds, or decent dishes, a sewing machine, children's rockers, all my planters, landscape bricks, a black go-cart, dressers,2 recliner chairs, two sofas: one sofa bed, one very new-7 foot long with recliners on each end, or a 50 gallon aquarium, or tables and chairs, marble sink and tub, tools galore! and enough plumbing, electrical and building material to start building a house, which was our intention for our hometown home. There is so much we lost. I just want it all back. WHAT ADVICE, LEGAL? I already had a whole host of nasty thoughts and offers, thanx. Make it quick, According to papers we have only a few weeks left, they served my underage child the papers on or about end of July and mailed some other different ones after that, which says the bank tried an action in March, then it was dismissed on July 15, but there is an indication to respond, I think, by Sept 8 . CAN I ASK FOR A CHANGE OF VENUE, COURT LOCATION? HOW? WHAT FORMS DO I USE? aNY bODY NEED A PARALEGAL AFTER i'M dONE? How about a nice vacation? How about I tell them to take a hike and some nice lottery winner lends us $30-60 G @ 5% to pay the rotten sucker bank off and build a nice house we can live in? Where's Ty from Extreme Makeover, Home Edition when you need him? Or make a wish? I'm going to go cry now, I wish I had a beer(to cry in) see ya.
