Rep Power: 0 | | Contracts/collection agencys Hello. Im going to cort next month over a collection agency suing me. Its a very long story involving a house fire. Long story short, my house burned to the ground last year and a reteration company was called in. The house was a total loss. The resteration company hired a dry cleaning company to clean items that were chared and burned. the items were never cleaned to my satisfaction. I never signed a contract with the dry cleaners and now they are suing me for over $2000.00. In the suit they say I had an expressed or implied contract. Is there a dollar amount that a contract must be written or can all contracts be expressed of implied?
Also, when the debt went to collections I worte a letter to the collection company telling them NOT to contact me at my work. Yesterday they called me at work. What can I do?
I live in colorado if that matters and the case is being filed in county civil court.
Thanks. |

Rep Power: 10 | | Re: Contracts/collection agencys This one really requires a lawyer to answer so hopefully someone will chime in here, but I will say this: It sounds to me like they have a week and flimsy case against you.
1 - I think work should be done to your satisfaction.
2 - Sounds like they were actually hired by someone else.
