a. Are you a US citizen? b. Are you financially independent? c. Are your tax returns in order and up to date? d. What is your occupation? e. What is the nationality of your proposed spouse? f. What are the qualifications and professional experience of your proposed spouse? g. How old are you and how old is your proposed spouse? I am sorry to ask so many questions, but an application for an immigration visa would be scrutinized from these angles. You can get all the permissions you need if you are able to establish the bonafides of your intentions and the ability of your proposed spouse and you to live without either damaging security or causing new financial laibility to the State. There are countries with which the US has relations that make it relatively easy for their citizens to enter. There are other countries against which the US discriminates in this matter, though such discrimination is not easy to establish. The best approach is to study US Visa rules for the country to which your proposed spouse belongs. The US Administration is very transparent about how it processes Visa applications from each foreign country and one has to just study and follow the rules. There is a conference of Immigration Lawyers in progress in Salt Lake City and you consult one of them if you live near that city, or even by email through our web master. However this is an expensive approach and you can save the money by studying the rules yourself. I can do this for you once you answer my questions listed in this post. Good luck with your application and your marriage! Last edited by drsbanerji; 06-23-2005 at 04:25 PM. Reason: Transcription error |
