Rep Power: 0 | | Can a school.... Can a school counselor legally check a students text and call log on there cell phone?? He wasn't on it at school, walk him to his locker and checked it? |

Rep Power: 10 | | Re: Can a school.... I'm not sure about this so I am going to give you an opinion as a parent. I feel that if during school hours and on school grounds, a counselor should be able to use reasonable measures to judge how a student is using their time during school, and I think checking a cell phone to see if they are using it during class is not inappropriate, depending on the circumstances.
Also note that some schools have rules and codes of conduct pertaining to cell phone use, so this can vary based on what's defined...
