I am being charged $10.00 per month for not having an active phone line by dish network can they charge me this charge if both my receivers are hooked to a phone line that is not active . For proper operation of your Equipment, Dish Network requires that you connect each Dish Network receiver on your account to a telephone line. For accounts containing multiple receivers ,each receiver must be connected to the same telephone line. failure to comply with this requirement may result in interruption of service. no where dose it state the phone line needs to be active and know one at the dish network company can show me any thing that states it needs to be an active phone line they tell me it is just implied. can they charge me this fee thanks Wayne |

Sounds like a very slight technicality with terminology.... often you'll see definitions of words in a contract... They should have better defined "telephone line" in the contract as an active and useable connection to a phone communication service.... but they didn't....
If you pushed it, they may be required to define it better in order to charge you etc.......
