Drugs, Races and Economics
There is no law that protects whites who break drug laws. Have you read about the Australian woman convicted last week in Bali?
No Latino or individual from any other race will benefit by laxity on drug laws.
The US economy has the resilience to bear some deficit to keep drugs off the streets. The cost of keeping offenders behind bars is eminently affordable and makes for sound economics.
One change that I could support would be to enact legislation that forces social service on drug offenders. They should be used for some manual tasks that cannot be mechanized or made to pay in some way for their keep, instead of lounging around in their cells and exercise yards.
